pastproject


my 3d drawing of my model for a previous project.
The model turned out nothing like I planned,
which wasn't a bad thing. It was quite surprising in terms of altering my original concept.
I had based my precedent upon Herzog and de Meuron's design for the Beijing olympic stadium.
As you can see by my drawing, the final model turned out nothing like a 'bird-cage'!
My model formed in drafting film was conceived and created in the fast fading weeks of last tri-mester.
Whether my model was successful is up for debate.
I believe "fluid-form" was concept that this particular project encompassed.
Casting my eyes over my drawing, there does seem to be
something fluid-like about it, in it's tear-drop body shape and soft bowing bending curves....
gentle over and under lapping cross-over, flowing in an uncomplicated tangle of look-through style.
Well, that's what I think anyway...
